Bag randomly empties over restart

My bag almost every restart has been emptied completely, I've seen others have been having the same problem. Quite frankly its annoying to have to go back to trade to rebuy your med gear and you secondary rifle almost every restart.

Do you log out a few minutes before restart or wait until you lose connection?

i usually log 10 mins prior.

If multiple people are having this issue, I will test it to see if it happens to me when I get home. Please make sure that you are logging out using the escape menu and not logging out via pressing Right-Shift P or using any other form of logging out.

After attempting to put items in my bag right before a restart (I put the last item in right before it said server restart initiated) they saved just fine. How many times has this happened and are you logging out with the escape menu?

I usually just alt+f4 while I'm in my base, because I'm always safe there and it's happened i wanna say like 4 times

This could be why - the escape menu gives the server time to save your character - crashing your client or force closing it can cause issues. Try using the escape menu and let me know if it continues happening using it.

Okay sounds good ill log out with the escape menu and see if it continues to happen

In talking to GreyGhost, the issue has been fixed by not using Alt-F4 to disconnect.
