Hey Everyone!

My name is [Reaper] Sean and i started playing this server last night and i've had some time to see how this server works and the community that is on here.

I don't know if the server management care about posts like this but i feel the need to tell you about my experience and why i'm deciding to leave the server within my first 48 hours playing.

I'm a huge fan of Overpoch servers since i've always likes the great variety of weapons so i tend to gravitate towards Overpoch servers over Epoch. I'm not a stranger to A2 mods and i have around 1200 hours played.

In my opinion there needs to be a few things for a server to really thrive and those are the following;

- Good Staff

- Missions with appropriate loot to mission difficulty

- Fair but strict detailed rules

- Quality features ( such as door management, etc )

- Balance of loot

- Economy

- Community

Now this server does seem to hit the mark on a few of the points listed above but it also seriously lacks in some.

I'd like to go over this so the server management could think of some potential changes.

Good staff- MeowMix helped my friend and i out during our first 2-3 hours on the server telling us how things are done and about the rules and i greatly appreciate his time and his knowledge. I believe this server has decent staff so good job !  A++

Missions with appropriate loot- With the few AI missions i've been able to do i would also give an A++, Now the non AI building missions are a little to strong in my opinion. I can start off as a fresh spawn and loot one of these missions and already have enough to build a secure 1x1 base with a safe. That is a little strong in my books and should be changed. B++

Rules- This server has basic rules but they're very vague making it very easy to players to manipulate them and work them to their favor. Technically according to the listed rules i could make my way into someones base legally and break down their plot pole and put my own up and then i would own the base. Or another one i could build a base very close to a trader city <200m and i would have a very secure but convenient location ( i tried to place a plot 250m away from Novy trader and i was able but i didn't fully craft it. ) Without a serious rule rework i could see the admins getting over run by complaints if the server peaked at 46 players. C--

Quality features- A++ great job

Balance of loot- This is a joke on this server. As a new player if i can drive to NWAF in a MTVR and leave with a completely full MTVR of quality weapons that's broken as hell. I'm not sure if that was your intent with the current loot system but in my opinion it makes groups very strong very fast and makes the game almost useless and would get very boring quickly. Not to mention if groups can rise to power that fast then new players would have a much more difficult time looting up since the current power houses would have nothing to do but prey on new/fresh players.  Z---

Economy- This again is a joke due to the balance of loot problem. Z-----

Community- Community has always been a issue with Arma 2 because of people from South America. My reasoning behind this is they almost never speak english and happen to break loads of rules due to them not understanding rules. Also their pings are always upwards of 400+ making them skip around on your screen making it nearly impossible to kill them and giving them a huge advantage on us because we will normally miss and they can turn around and shoot us easily because of their ping. Plus every hacker i've ever seen/encountered has been Brazilian. C-- 

 

If you've made it this far i congratulate you! 

 

inclosing i would like to mention a few immediate changed i would make;

1) Wipe the server

2) Rewrite rules (English/Portuguese)

3) modify loot system 

4) Add base raiding

5) Add a ping max of 200-300

Wow you must be an idiot. The reason the loot is so easy to get is because the server runs off of missions. You will only get medium level loot by looting. To get anything good you need to go to a mission and compete for it. Second, the rules are fine until a problem shows itself. Stop thinking of potentials and manipulate the rules yourself. Watch how fast you get banned. Third, you can't break down peoples plot pole so even if you glitch into someones base all you can really get is safe gear and that is IF they left it open. Fourth, if you're going to play on the server for less than a week and write this entire thread based on knowledge YOU DON'T HAVE, then we don't want you on this server. Good day, and good luck finding another server as good as this one.

Oh and btw there is only 1 group with high ping on the server (and they usually just sit in their base anyway so it is a null point). Everyone has usually 20-150 ping. I myself get around 40. So idk why you are talking about high ping

I would consider this fair feedback, I have considered nerfing the side missions in the past.

1. You cannot remove someone else's plot pole, the server doesn't allow it.

2. The server automatically blocks build attempts within a certain distance of all traders.

This is done to allow new spawns to gear up quickly. Allowing people to get guns increases combat. This server is not meant to be a loot oriented server, it is meant for combat.

I find the economy to be one of the more balanced economies out there, but they will always be hard to maintain because of dupes etc.....

The server's current ping limit is 500, so anyone with higher ping will be kicked. I will not make it so low that some of our population has to leave.

 

 

Overall, I am sorry to see you leave, but some servers just aren't meant for certain people. Thank you for all of your feedback though, it all matters :)

Youre trash and if you had a base and I still played, I would raid you and make you quit.. go to another server

You may not be able to remove someones plot with a message but you can hit it with a vehicle and it will fall over then after restart there will be no plot there anymore.

I don't believe that is possible. Plot poles are indestructible like cinder and metal. Have you tested that or are you just saying?

xD  this boy has probably never even seen a plot pole on udder. I tried it like 2 weeks ago. It doesn't work. There is no way to just run it over. I feel like this guy has never been on udder and is just someone sent from like yrun or something to shit on udder
