C130 Airdrops

What I am proposing is that we add a way to drop whatever is in the gear of a c130 to the ground. Basically you put whatever you want to drop in the gear of the c130 and press drop. It will then drop a crate with a parachute containing all of the gear you put in the c130. Obviously it needs to be made so you can't drop with less than like 5 items so it isn't spammed.

What do you guys think?

This could be used to send supplies to friends and make it a lot more realistic

Awesome idea, but I feel it would be laggy and somehow get abused... Not to mention how long it'd take to code...

yes because its so realistic that in a zombie apocalypse a team of people will get together to pilot,operate and fuel a c130 to drop 6 cans of soda

Well dayz overpoch is a lot more militarized so it's easy to see how a military force could still be operational with aircraft and aide.

the only aid you are getting isn't the kind that gets dropped off by a cargo plane. Realistically in that situation a c130 makes too much noise, wastes too much fuel and manpower in order for some scrub to have 6 rolls of toilet paper

You're saying it wouldn't be cool to drop like an armed SUV to your friends. Or drop a crate of ammo to your friends when they need it?

I'm pretty sure you can already do vehicles with the airlift mechanic right? (Or is it not on this server?)

With the ammo you could just fly in an lb land it quick and drop a backpack full of ammo, I don't see a C130 being needed.

You know how on some servers for a mission a plane will fly over and airdrop a crate with a parachute. I'm talking about that however it is player controlled.
