i would think as you are collating peoples information, i would like a privacy policy upon this website as we, the public have no idea what information you are leaking out to other people albeit ip address actual address and such other private information. lets just say if a leak was to happen upon this website and the players details where to be compromised in any way, i would like to think they at least are secure

As a rough guideline i would at least like to see the following implemented

1. The biggest topic is collection of personal data. If your site is collecting this type of information you really should be explaining to your users (through your privacy policy) what you intend to do with that data.

2.You should be clearly explaining how you collect private data through your website. Does your website utilize cookies or an online account system?

3.How do you store the information you collect?

4.For what period of time do you hold collected data?

5.Who within your organization has access to the data?

most importantly as your website may attract persons that are under 13 you must adhere to federal Law as set forth by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998(COPPA)- http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm

there are more but i am sure you are aware of.

i am sure you can find templates out there on which to lay all this out in a easy to understand matter

the other is the ability to remove ones profile from this website along with all personal details as this should be an option from the very beginning this website was set up, much as i love to see people stay and spread love on the forums you must also give them the opportunity to leave without giving a crap about emailing a site admin etc

Is this serious or a joke?

If you take privacy that serious why not put measure to protect yourself (VPN, Proxies, NO Track option on browser)

Your not supposed to own ArmA or a Steam if your under age as per the subscriber agreement you agree too as quoted below. If I find someone that young I will remove them from this community. PERIOD. This server is for adults and adults only.
http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/

"You become a subscriber of Steam ("Subscriber") by completing the registration of a Steam user account. This Agreement takes effect as soon as you indicate your acceptance of these terms. You may not become a subscriber if you are under the age of 13. Steam is not intended for children under 13 and Valve will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13."

As far as who has access to what only Admin and above (I believe) has access to see your IP and such, double check with @BigEgg.

"This server is for adults and adults only." and yet "You may not become a subscriber if you are under the age of 13. Steam is not intended for children under 13 and Valve will not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13"  please explain this? does this mean from the age of 13 to 18 (or suitable age for becoming an adult in your own country) i cannot play upon your server such rampant age discrimination! this server does not state in the rules that you must be above a certain age limit to join and how will you enforce this? by asking them for id before they join for the first time?

also if you remove all the players that are not adults then you will only be left with nrp lelelelel

So the link below shows that people under age of 17 shouldn't even own this game but we allow that. As far as the age for steam, personally I don't want anyone under the age of 13 on here.

"The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) ratings provide guidance about video games and apps so that consumers, especially parents, can make informed choices about the ones they deem suitable for their family." - that is guidance not an absolute law - therefore you cannot assume that a person bought it whilst duping the parents or carers, they may have been deemed mature enough to handle said content.

government laws clearly state about the usage of drugs but you clearly use them good sir, so you cannot have the high ground on saying what people can or cannot do (excuse the pun) and as for having people under the age of 13 that is just absurd and a stupid viewpoint.

i have met people that are mature and sensible at 13 and i have met absolute mongs that are on their twenties and upwards you cannot just paint the whole age group as unfit to be on your server (which btw isnt your server) it would be comparable to me saying that all marijuana users are filthy drug users and will progress onto worse things, however there are studies which show that marijuana use does affect peoples ability to think straight - i refer you to your post upon the steam group in wich a person has a thread regarding player unknowns battlegrounds in which you reply "I'm always playing, we are updating to 1.0.6.1 should be up in less then two days :)" - a fact that is untrue as you do not own it in your steam library and that the person didn't ask anything related to dayz/arma - i conclude that you are indeed unfit in mental state to be an admin or in any position of so called power and that applies to all drug fiends - but as i know that all people that use cannabis are for the most part nice people and there are some retarded ones then i wouldn't say such things like they shouldn't be on a server or such like blah blah because at the end of the day people deserve a chance and so do you.

i hope to presume wrong when i wonder if you are called meowmix because you share the same iq as a bag of said cat food? i sincerely hope not as that would be cray cray

also you bring up a valid point about the esrb rating - as it quite clearly states that there is strong language in this game and is rated mature - why then does udder have strong language filters? that indicates that the owner feels that casual swearing is going to offend people that shouldnt see it and accepts that there are going to be players that are under the guidline age.

"personally I don't want anyone under the age of 13 on here." - i wonder have you had a visit by a certain tv show that makes you so afraid of under 13s personally? what is the reasoning behind this?

We don't need a privacy policy because we trust in the government and we never doubt the government. The government can't lie to us. The government will tell us everything.
